Hunter and I primarily travel by motorcycle. This thrills a lot of people in the towns we pass through.
Once, while in Fort Wayne, IN, we visited a small local bike shop in search of a spare tail light. Upon hearing of our adventure across the country, the owner bursted through the door of the back room, hollering across the shop. "You guys are fucking insane"! He made his way across the show room to shake our hands and offer us drinks. He continued to introduce us to the employees and share similar stories of travel.
We learned later that they didn't have our tail lights.
There's something about being young and on the move that oozes classic 'American Dream' to those living outside of the bustling metropolis.
For us, it's simply maintaining a sense of sanity.
